Reflection on Mind Map

As a person’s network grows and develops so does his/her ability to learn at a more rapid and successful rate. As Tony Robbins says, “Life is not about resources it’s about resourcefulness.”  As a person’s network grows so does their resourcefulness, and their ability to learn and master new concepts.  The digital tool I find myself relying on most often on are digital videos.  Being able to rewind and repeat the presentation of the information allows me to focus on key concepts and immediately review parts of a presentation I may have difficulty learning the first time around.  Although watching web videos does provided a great amount of information there are still question that I may have.  Typically I attempt to look for a trusted source of information within the area or field I would have a question about.  It varies as much as asking friends and family for guidance, to sending an email to a union representative asking a question about our teaching contract, and including asking a student if something makes sense to them.  I believe my personal mind mapping strongly supports the central tenets of Connectivism.  There are many different areas of my life that overlap and so do the manner in which I learn in these different environments.  It would be illogical to only use a small fraction of my life experiences to solve a problem or find an answer any question I may have.   The more resourceful and information I can receive prior to making a decision or committing to an action the better my decision or action will be.
